Oct '11 - New Web-booking Look. Belengo FTS web booking now has a new look. Clean and simple, the customer functions and on-line booking features are now even easier.

Feb '11 - Belengo at Project Qatar 2011. Belengo will have a stand at Project Qatar 2011 in May. The company will be displaying its new web-hosted Demand Responsive Transport solution which aims to offer passenger transport services complementary to the mainline bus, train and taxi services.

Sep '10 - Belengo Adds iPad to Mobile App Family. FTS will soon run on the Apple iPad. The Controller function (to record Drops and Pickups and to allocate them to vehicles) will use the advanced touch-screen facilities of the iPad and its portability to present a compelling new experience for Belengo customers. An iPad version of the FTS Vehicle software is also in development.

Jun '10 - Belengo Announces iPhone App. Work has started on developing an iPhone version of the FTS Vehicle software. Drivers will use the popular device to register passengers boarding the vehicles, manage the drops and pickups and take advantage of the GPS and mapping functions.

Jan '10 - QLD Transport To use Web Booking. QT's operator in Hervey Bay, Wide Bay Transport, is in the final stages of testing Belengo's web-booking feature. Customers will be able to book on-line in addition to using the call centre.

Oct '09 - New FTS Features for 2009. Belengo announced the release of Internet and SMS booking for FTS end users and a PDA version for FTS supervisors in early 2009.

May '08 - QLD Transport Live on NextG. QT's Hervey Bay service successfully moved its communications service to Telstra's NextG Network.

Feb '08 - QLD Transport Moves to NextG. QT's Hervey Bay service plans to move to Telstra's NextG network. Vehicles will soon communicate using high speed wireless.

Aug '07 - Skybus Moves to NextG. Skybus' minibus shuttle service, powered by Belengo FTS, now communicates between the hosted service and the vehicles using Telstra's NextG network.

Jul '07 - QLD Transport Enters Hosting Agreement. Belengo now hosts the technology for QT's Toowoomba and Hervey Bay services in its Macquarie Telecom data centre.

May '07 - Microsoft MapPoint Integration. Belengo's FTS now features on-demand map services powered by Microsoft MapPoint. Drivers are able to display a suggested route to the next stop or an overview of the entire route, with the press of a button on the touch screen!

Mar '07 - Hervey Bay Live! Belengo FTS is live at Hervey Bay. Sponsored by QLD Transport and managed by Wide Bay Transit, the system features Belengo's new generation Windows XP vehicle system.

Dec '06 - Skybus Live! Belengo FTS is live at Skybus handling thousands of passenger transfers between Southern Cross Station and Melbourne hotels every day.

Dec '06 - QLD Transport plans further rollout of FTS. After a successful pilot in Toowoomba, QT is planning another rollout of Belengo FTS in Hervey Bay in early 2007.

Aug '06 - Macquarie Telecom Hosts FTS. Tier-1 data centre operator, Macquarie Telecom, now provides the highest level 24x7 hosting services for FTS.

Jul '06 - Skybus Chooses Belengo. Melbourne-based Super Shuttle company, Skybus, has chosen FTS to manage its minibus fleet.

May '06 - Passenger Numbers Growing in Toowoomba. Unlike most other routes, the Rangeville service has passenger numbers still growing after 12 months.

Apr '06 - WhereiS® Navigator Integration. FTS now integrates seamlessly with WhereiS Navigator from Sensis providing full turn-by-turn GPS navigation.

Toowoomba buses pilot Flexible Transport Solution

Sydney, Australia - 14th June 2005

Belengo (formerly Raywood Solutions Group or RSG), a world-leader in advanced Global Positioning (GPS) job dispatch and vehicle tracking systems for the transport industry, announced today that QLD Transport, in partnership with Transit Australia Pty Ltd (Sunbus), began a pilot of a revolutionary new demand responsive, public transport service.

"Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) solutions fill the gap between big buses and taxis" said Mr Steve Watt, CEO of Belengo.   "Unlike conventional bus services with fixed routes and times, the demand responsive service is much more flexible, matching more closely to customers needs" continued Mr Watt.
